How to Choose a Gemstone
Colored gemstones are judged a little differently than diamonds — here, color is king.
- Color — the single biggest driver of beauty and value. Look for a rich, even, saturated hue that isn’t so dark it loses life or so pale it looks washed out.
- Clarity — many gems (emerald especially) naturally contain inclusions, so “eye-clean” is the goal rather than flawless; a few internal marks are normal and expected.
